The official logo and mascot – ‘Jalveer’, an energetic aquatic superhero were unveiled on Friday by Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, at his residence in New Delhi, in the presence of senior dignitaries from the Swimming Federation of India (SFI).
A First for India, A Leap for Aquatics
Set to be held between September 28 and October 11, 2025, this prestigious championship will be hosted at the newly constructed Veer Savarkar Sports Complex – a world-class facility built to Olympic standards. The infrastructure alone is a clear reflection of India’s growing intent to position itself as a serious player in the global sporting arena.
“This championship marks a historic milestone for Indian aquatics,” said Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, during the launch. “It offers our athletes a golden opportunity to test their mettle against the finest in Asia. I commend the joint efforts of the Swimming Federation of India and the Government of Gujarat in bringing this event to our nation.”
A Platform for Indian Athletes to Shine
