City Pip Arsenal To Another Title
With Arsenal and Manchester City involved heavily in the title race with just 2 points separating the teams, City had control of their fortunes on the last day as they knew a win would do the job for the Cityzens. Arsenal also had to win at home against Everton and hope that City drops points on the day. However, Arsenal couldn’t win their tie as well as Everton fought out a 1-1 draw against the team placed 2nd on the table.
The win meant that City won a 5th consecutive Premier League title on the day, winning in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Pep Guardiola’s men have achieved a tremendous feat which shows their dominance in the league over the recent years. This was City’s 6th title in 7 years.
Arsenal would’ve hoped that this year they would have broken the dominance and break their Premier League title drought as well. However, despite a fantastic season, Mikel Arteta’s men couldn’t pip City this year.
