Man United are reportedly open to offer Marcus Rashford, despite the forward’s hesitation to move to Saudi Pro League. The England International, whose place is in the starting line up at Old Trafford has diminished, has been recalled to the matchday squad by head coach Ruben Amorim, who has not ruled out reintegrating him fully into the team. Although Rashford is under contract till 2028, he has expressed a desire for a new challenge, and United may still consider his future at the club, even after rejecting lucrative £35m-a-year offers from the Saudi league.
Rashford Rejects Lucrative Saudi Offer Amid United’s Financial Consideration
Initial offers for Rashford came from Saudi, with lucrative contract proposal that could see his weekly wages, currently over £300,000, more than double, resulting in a potential £35 million annual salary. However, Rashford is understood to have no intention of moving to the Gulf state. Meanwhile, Man United is fully aware of the Premier League’s profit and Sustainability Rules, which could influence their response to any future offers for the academy graduate, should more interest materialize in January.
Man United Weigh Permanent Or Loan Exit For Rashford Amid Financial Strategy
Man United is reportedly considering both permeant exit or a potential loan move for Rashford, keeping in mind the club’s need to comply with Premier League’s profit and Sustainability Rule(PSR). If a loan move is pursued, United would likely seek suitors willing to pay a loan fee and cover most of Rashford’s substantial wages. In the past, United has allowed high earners like Jadon Sancho to leave on loan, with the winger spending last season at Borussia Dortmund and now on a season-long loan at Chelsea, where a permanent move could be in the works next summer. If Chelsea finishes 14th or higher in the league, Sancho could join for a reduced fee between £20-25 million, with the Blues currently in fourth place despite their recent loss to Ipswich.

Ruben Amorim Explains Rashford’s Bench Role And Zirkzee’s First-Half Withdrawal

Amorim explained that every player on the bench is close to being called upon, though Rashford did not feature in that game. Regarding the match, Amorim’s side conceded two quick goals within the first 20 minutes, leading to a substitution of summer signing Joshua Zirkzee before half-time. Despite rumors linking Zirkzee with a potential January exit, Amorim defended his decision, stating that it was a necessary tactical move during a tough moment for the team. He expressed regret for having to take Zirkzee off, emphasizing that the decision was made with the team’s needs in mind.
