Major League Cricket 2023: Preparations have begun in America for the inaugural season of the franchise-based T20 competition, Major League Cricket (MLC). A total of 6 teams will face each other in this tournament. Here, former Indian international Unmukt Chand will play for the Los Angeles Knight Riders. The Knight Riders have picked him in their team through the palyer draft on March 19.
A total of 6 teams are participating in the MLC tournament, 4 of which have been bought by the owners of IPL. Unmukt Chand had decided to retire from Indian cricket in 2021. He then moved to America to continue his cricket career. Unmukt Chand has also retired from IPL after also playing in tournaments like Big Bash League and Bangladesh Premier League.
Unmukt Chand is one of the few players under whose leadership the Indian team won the Under-19 World Cup. Under Unmukt’s leadership, India won the U19 World Cup trophy in 2012 by defeating Australia.
Veteran players like Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Finch, Mitchell Marsh, Wanindu Hasanraga, Anrich Norkhia and Quinton de Kock will also shine in this tournament.
