Chennai affirmed their victory over Lucknow through their performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) on Monday, which ended their string of losing matches. Toward the end of the match, MS Dhoni struck an unbeaten 26 while facing 11 balls and his 4 boundaries along with 11 smashing sixes, made headlines. During their pursuit of 167 victory points, Dhoni formed a major partnership with Shivam Dubey. According to Dubey, Dhoni orchestrated this triumph by forecasting how Pant would approach his innings during the match. Sanjay Bangar talked about Dhoni’s physical state and his finishing skills on Geo Sports by stating that ‘Dhoni continued to compete despite having low physical fitness.’ Dhoni managed to gather his strength which enabled him to produce a successful performance.
