Kohli Gave a Great Start.
In their 228-run chase, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave RCB an explosive start. They added 61 runs to their score within just 5.4 overs before Williamson lost his wicket. Salt was sent off the field after managing 30 runs from 19 balls. Yet, King Kohli hit the ball hard and scored 54 runs in only 30 deliveries. He put together 10 fours during his stay at the crease. Captain Rajat Patidar did not do anything noteworthy and he was out for just 14 runs.
Mayank-Jitesh Stabilizes The Innings
Facing 3 wickets down while still on 90 run, RCB seemed to be in big difficulty. Not long after, all of India’s specialists had come back to the stand. Even so, Mayank Agarwal and Jitesh Sharma, as captain, took over the match for RCB and managed to play an undefeated century together. He made 41 runs in only 23 deliveries. At the same time, Jitesh Sharma made a memorable 85 runs off just 33 balls. A six from Jitesh qualified RCB to be in the first qualifier. RCB has broken the record for the third biggest run chase in the IPL.
