The Los Angeles Lakers was blown out by Minnesota Timberwolves by a huge margin of 109-80. LeBron tied a season low with 10 points on four of 16 shooting from the field. It’s his 6th consecutive game shooting below 45%. It’s his longest dry streak since 2004, 20 years ago. What is frustrating Lebron about his game is the questions that many fans have.
A Bar Too High To Breach
When LeBron James set a goal of playing in all 82 games for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, the odds were immediately stacked against him. Playing 82 games is not in the best interests of anyone. LeBron has nothing to prove to anyone by trying to play 82 games considering if he has ever played 82 games any season. But he is now in one of the worst stretches of his career, many experts think that playing in the Paris Olympics must have taken a toll on him, but we cannot deny the fact that he is not playing well. He himself mentioned that he is not in the rhythm. For a 22-year veteran, the numbers of James LeBron are excellent that of 82 games this season. His average is 22.0 points, 9.1 assists and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from 3-point range, for most people it is a great season, but when you are the GOAT and have set the bar to high to breach that is a reason for concern.
Need for Redemption
One of the most concerning stat for the lakers’ fans is that Laker’s have been outscored by 111 points when LeBron James is on the field. The man is a treasure to the NBA, he is one of the top 4 players of all time in Basketball and top 3 players in the NBA. But when it comes to slippage, we could see him getting burnt on the defense alot. This is just a bad stretch for the 40 year old and at this point, he has the legitimacy to need some opportunity for redemption.
