Big parliamentarians including Anurag Thakur, Kiren Rijiju, Ravi Kishan, Nishikant Dubey, Raghav Chaddha, Deepender Hooda and others played together in the Lok Sabha Speaker XI vs Rajya Sabha Chairman XI in the TB Mukt Bharat Awareness Cricket Match. The major reason behind the match was to create awareness between people for the tuberculosis. Lok Sabha Speaker XI ended up winning the match by a margin of 73 runs wherein Lok Sabha team captain Anurag Thakur ended up scoring a hundred. The BJP MP from Hamirpur played an innings 111 runs.

Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla was named as the chief guest of the event which was played at the Major Dhyanchand National Stadium in New Delhi. The delegation led by Anurag Thakur went to Birla on December 14 to invite him for the noble cause match. A lot of hilarious moments were exchanged between the parliamentarians throughout the match. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey won the award for best fielder whereas Deepender Singh Hooda won the award for the best bowler of the match. Manoj Tiwary ended up winning the best catch award and all the winners were felicitated by union minister Piyush Goyal.
Apart from Anurag Thakur, members of Parliaments including Sarbananda Sonowal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Gajendra Singh Sekhawat, Mansuk Mandaviya, G Kishan Reddy, Suresh Gopi, and Ravneet Singh Bittu from the BJP, Chirag Paswan from Lok Janshakti Party, Jayant Chaudhary from Rashtriya Lok Dal, Gaurav Gogoi, Imran Pratapgarhi from Congress, Raghav Chaddha, Gurmeet Singh Meet and Harbhajan Singh from Aam Aadmi Party, Derek O’Brien and Yusuf Pathan from TMC participated in the match.
