Lionel Messi had added another milestone in his glamorous career as he has now become the player with highest international assists. The Argentine maestro registered two assists and helped his side get an emphatic win by 6-0 against Puerto Rico in an international friendly.
Messi has now surpassed Neymar and has 60 assists in international football. The assists came as a part of masterclass display where Messi was in spotlight for Argentina. His side delivered an outstanding performance in Johor Bahru with Lautaro Martínez and Alexis Mac Allister both netting braces. The passes from Messi were extremely crucial and his first assist was a clever step to set up Gonzalo Montiel, while his second came in the 83rd minute.
