Virat Kohli was dismissed cheaply during the Day 3 of IND vs AUS 3rd Test being played at ‘The Gabba’ in Brisbane. Kohli was caught behind by Alex Carey off Josh Hazlewood and it was the same old story of getting out to a fourth stump delivery outside off stump. This weakness has been with Virat through his international career. The flaw came into limelight during the 2014 India vs England Test series when James Anderson and Stuart Broad exposed the modern-day cricket with swing deliveries. In the five-match series, Virat almost got out on same kind of deliveries.

Virat Kohli, who has slammed 81 international hundreds is currently the first pick who can surpass legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar’s feat of 100 international centuries. Tendulkar was majorly known for his classical batting technique during his playing. However, there were flaws in his playing style as well which was ignited by the Australian bowlers during the 2003-04, IND vs AUS Test series. Tendulkar was dismissed outside off stump while playing his favourite cover-drive shot. However, in the last Test which was played in Sydney, the master blaster didn’t play any cover drive shot and went onto play an innings of 244 runs.

Virat Kohli should learn from Sachin Tendulkar, who set aside his ego, avoided playing to his weaknesses, and maintained a 50+ average after 36. To uphold Sachin’s legacy, Virat must do the same.pic.twitter.com/YsnE4MEJ5F

Sachin Tendulkar Wagon Wheel of 240 not out at Sydney in 2003/04 BGT. Bulk of his runs came leg (on) side. Tendulkar scored just one boundary of drive (straight drive). He controlled his temptation of cover drive. @sachin_rt why not advice Virat Kohli @imVkohli? pic.twitter.com/cXIn2xc0Bz
