New Delhi: Indian former captain Mohammed Azharuddin gave his verdict on the comparison between former Indian captain Virat Kohli and Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam. The long-standing debate between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam in the world of cricket captures everyone attention.
The Veteran batter chooses Virat Kohli over Babar Azam, saying that the star Indian batter was a seasoned cricketer and slightly better than the Pakistan skipper.
“Kohli is a seasoned player. His numbers are huge. I feel it is always difficult to compare two players, but these are two very different players. But if you see, Kohli is slightly better,” Azharuddin said to Cricket Pakistan.

Virat Kohli is in terrific form after struggling for almost 3-years. Kohli has scored 24936 runs in his international career which included 74 centuries and 129 half-centuries. On the other hand Babar Azam has scored 11864 runs with 28 centuries and 80 half-centuries.
Both the players shares good relation off the field. Babar Azam supported Kohli, when he was going through the bad face. Pakistan’s skipper Twitted in the support of Kohli and when they met during the 2022 Asia Cup, the moment went viral on social media.
“Babar is a very nice guy. I have always had good conversations with him. I am not sure about kinship since he is much younger to me, but there is respect. There is always respect,” Virat Kohli said to Star Sports during the 2022 Asia Cup.

“He was always keen to learn. He spoke to me after our game in the 2019 World Cup. I have always said he is keen to learn, and there’s no surprise that he is playing like this in all formats of the game. He is obviously a very talented player,” Kohli added.
Virat Kohli is back in his vintage form and after that, he broke many records. Kohli now has 750 points and placed 7th in the ICC ODI ranking. Rassie van der Dussen holds the second spot with 766 points and third-placed Quinton de Kock has 759 points, while Pakistan skipper Babar Azam remains way out in front with 887 points.
