India pulled off a memorable win the in the IND vs AUS 1st Test played at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The Indian team defeated Australia by a margin of 295 runs and registered their biggest win (by margin of runs) on the Australian soil. Team India players such as Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli proved out to be the hero of the match which played a major role in helping the Indian team cross the line. Apart from these players, KL Rahul also played a big role in helping the Indian team put up a big second innings total. Rahul played an innings of 77 runs from 176 balls. He added 201 runs along with Yashasvi Jaiswal for the first wicket and provided the much needed stability to the Indian team.
Apart from playing a decent knock with the bat, KL Rahul took some decent catches in the field and one was of Mitchell Marsh during the first innings. Rahul also showcased his football skills on the field and was spotted dribbling the cricket ball with his foot. The video for the same went viral on the social media. Rahul also played a knock of 26 runs from 74 balls in the first innings but was unfortunately given out due to a controversial decision by the umpire.

The Australian team was pretty much favourites to win the IND vs AUS 1st Test due to their undefeatable record at the Optus Stadium. Team India became the first visiting team to win a Test match at the newly built Perth Stadium. Chasing down 534 runs wouldn’t have been very easy for the Aussies in the fourth innings and they were reduced for a score of 12/3 at the end of Day 3. While, Travis Head showcased some fight with the bat but at the end, the Indian bowlers proved to be too much for the hosts and they ended up losing the match.
