The wicketkeeper-batsman received authorization from Delhi Capitals management to skip the first game against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday after his first child’s birth. After impressive performances in Dubai led Rahul to become a key player for India during their Champions Trophy victory. His strong performance did not stop him from missing a spot in the latest national T20I roster. At the Dubai tournament, Rahul demonstrated clearly that he wanted to rejoin the T20 international squad of the team.
