This was Rahul’s 9th overall Test century.

In doing so, Rahul left his mark on the record books. He has three Test centuries in England now, the highest by any Indian opener in England. By doing this, Rahul went beyond the great Indian names like Sunil Gavaskar, Vijay Merchant, Ravi Shastri, and Rahul Dravid — all of whom had two Test centuries in England as openers.
