The sixth match of the Indian Premier League between the Kolkata, Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals took place at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and chose to bowl first which proved to be a sensible decision from Ajinkya Rahane. Sunil Narine was seen missing the clash while Moeen Ali debuted for the KKR the KKR bowlers restricted Rajasthan batters at 151 runs.

Rajasthan’s Paralyzed Innings
The Rajasthan Royals after losing the toss, sent Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson to the crease. Samson was dismissed early by Vaibhav Arora when he knocked out the leg stump at just 13 runs. Dhruv Jurel was the highest run getter in the Rajasthan dugout with 33 runs. Apart from Dhruv, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 29 runs and skipper Riyan Parag scored 25 runs, none of the other batters could give a hand with the bat which led the Royals’ innings stumbling.
KKR’s Bowling Does The Job
The KKR bowling attack was outstanding, especially the spinners Moeen Ali and Varun Chakaravarthy. Both Bagged two wickets each for themselves. The debutant Moeen Ali spared 23 runs in his four overs spell, while Varun Chakaravarthy displayed his prowess as a spinner and just gave 17 runs in his four over spell, which led his economy being slightly over 4. Pacer Spencer Johnson took one wicket while Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana put two wickets in the bag for themselves
De Kock’s 97 Runs Led The Victory
With Quinton de Kock’s 97 runs, the Kolkata Knight Riders registered their first win of this season. In the absence of Sunil Narine, Moeen Ali came out to bat with De Kock. While Mohin was run out in an unfortunate way on 5 runs. De Kock was never seen out of intent to finish the match on his own. Captain Ajinkya Rahane also could not create an impact with the bat and was dismissed at just 18 runs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi came out to bat with De Kock as an impact player and both let their team to victory.
