“I’m proud to partner with the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare for this initiative under the NMEO. The message is simple but powerful – let’s try to reduce our edible oil consumption by just 10%. Not just for ourselves, but for our families and the country,” Rahane shared in the video.

He highlighted how even small changes in daily eating habits can lead to significant health benefits over time. From an athlete’s perspective, he emphasized the importance of being conscious about diet, especially when it comes to cooking oils.

“As a professional athlete, I’ve always paid close attention to what I eat. Over the years, I’ve realized that even the smallest shifts in our daily routines can make a meaningful difference. This campaign is a timely reminder that a healthier lifestyle starts at home,” Rahane wrote on his official ‘X’ handle.

Rahane also reflected on his role as a parent, stressing how current choices influence the habits of the next generation. He spoke about the long-term impact of promoting wellness and sustainability within Indian households.

“As a father, I’m deeply aware of the habits we pass on to our children. By making smarter, healthier choices today, we’re laying the foundation for a stronger and more resilient tomorrow. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this initiative,” he added.

The campaign, supported by the NMEO, aims to encourage citizens across India to adopt healthier dietary practices and reduce reliance on excess edible oil. With prominent figures like Rahane leading the charge, the message is expected to reach far and wide.
