New Delhi: Team India has lost the first ODI against New Zealand by 7 wickets. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first India gave a target of 306 run in 50 overs at the loss of 7 wickets. Meanwhile, the Kiwis scored 309 runs in 47.1 overs at the loss of 3 wickets.

Team India’s scorecard

Shreyas Iyer topped the runs chart. he scored 80 run off 76 deliveries. He scored 4 fours and 4 sixes. He was followed by captain Shikhar Dhawan who scored 72 runs off 77 balls. He was able to garner 13 fours. Shuham Gill scored half-century in 65 deliveries with 1 four and 3 sixes. Washington Sundar too played a quick and swift innings by scoring 37 run off 16 deliveries with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes.
