Kanpur Test: Kanpur city is known for its rich cricketing history and passionate fans. The Green Park Stadium, situated in the heart of the city, has hosted numerous thrilling matches over the years, earning its reputation as one of India’s most iconic cricket venues.
But sometimes, it becomes infamous due to some unethical habits of people which hampers the reputation of the city as well as of the country. Most of the time people chew “Gutka” (Tobacco Pan Masala) and spit around the roads and etc.
The “Gutka” Saga
In 2021, during the first test between India and New Zealand in Kanpur, one person from the crowd was seen chewing gutka in between the ongoing match. This incident created a buzz, thanks to social media and was hugely criticized as well.
Monkeys During The Training Session
Before the ongoing 2nd Test between India and Bangladesh, during the training session, a couple of monkeys were seen roaming when Indian players were training in the nets. This scenario was spread around social media which created widespread criticism regarding the safety of the players.
