The Pakistan Super League and the Indian Premier League are all set to clash with each other in 2025. IPL is currently among the biggest cricket premier leagues in the world and gives the most amount of values to all the famous cricketers of the world. Big names including Travis Head, Tim David, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and others are all set to participate in the cash-rich league. Due to the same reason, PCB have managed to rope a few big international names including Joe Root, Steve Smith, David Warner and others which went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, Smith and Kane Williamson might not be available to play in the tournament. Both the cricketers might not be available to play PSL 2025 due to personal commitments.
Kane Williamson And Steve Smith Expected To Miss PSL 2025
The Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday stated that players such as David Warner, Adil Rashid, Chris Woakes and Mustafizur Rahman will feature in the platinum category of the player’s draft. Other players include the names of Australian cricketers Matthew Short, Riley Meredith, Steve Smith (Subject to Confirmation). Adil Rashid, Gus Atkinson, Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Tom Curran, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore from England whereas Finn Allen, Kane Williamson (subject to confirmation), and Mark Chapman from New Zealand are included in the platinum category. Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka and West Indies’ Shai Hope are also part of the platinum category.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board are still awaiting for clearance of England player from the ECB and there participation in the tournament is still under doubt.
