Indian captain and pacer Jasprit Bumrah led from the front with the ball after the India national cricket team was wrapped up for 150 runs in the first innings on Day 1 of IND vs AUS 1st Test. Bumrah ended the day with figures of 4/17 in ten overs which included wickets of top three Australian batters. The right-handed Indian pacer began to attack from the first ball and never really allowed the Australian batters to settle down at the crease. Australia ended the Day 1 of IND vs AUS 1st Test 2024 at 67/7 wherein apart from Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana picked up two and one wickets respectively.
Aakash Chopra Heaps Praise On Jasprit Bumrah
Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra heaped praise on the performance of Jasprit Bumrah while speaking on his YouTube channel. Chopra stated that Bumrah is like ‘rolls-royce of fast bowling and added that the latter is a 24-carat gold. Aakash Chopra said, “The way Jasprit Bumrah brought India back into the game was worth watching because when India were all out for 150, it seemed like it was over and out. However, it was not over and out. Jassi jaisa koi nahin. He is 24-carat pure gold.”
He added, “Jasprit Bumrah is the Rolls-Royce of fast bowling. He bowls at a different level. Firstly his wrist is so good, then he is quick, both in the air and after pitching, and then the line and length he bowls, they are absolutely immaculate.”
Jasprit Bumrah has been absolutely brilliant ever since he has returned from his back injury. The latter who has an unorthodox bowling action been absolutely unplayable for the batters in the year 2024. Bumrah played a major role in helping the Indian team win the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 as he bowled crucial spells throughout the innings.
