Jasprit Bumrah’s Fitness Update: There are only a few days left for the start of the Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, big news has come out about Team India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has reached Bangalore for his fitness test. Where he will be under the supervision of the BCCI medical team present at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Bumrah was included in India’s Champions Trophy squad last month but whether he will play in the tournament or not will be decided based on scans and fitness tests.

Bumrah Will Stay In NCA For Three Days
It is believed that Bumrah will spend at least two to three days at the NCA, where medical experts will thoroughly examine his injury and fitness. After this, the report prepared by the NCA experts will be submitted to the selection committee of Team India. In a press conference held in Mumbai last month, chief selector Ajit Agarkar had said that Bumrah was advised to rest for five weeks after the Sydney Test.
“Bumrah has been asked to rest for five weeks, so he will not play the first two ODIs against England. We will get more information about his fitness in early February. Further decision will be taken based on the update of the medical team.” – Ajit Agarkar, Chief Selector.
Selectors Have A lack Of Time
The selectors have only a week to take a decision on Bumrah, as they will have to confirm the 15-member squad for the Champions Trophy to the ICC soon. If Bumrah is not allowed to play in the tournament, then Harshit Rana, who was selected for the ODI team against England, may get a place in the Champions Trophy team.
Team India Will Leave On February 15
The Indian team has started preparing for the Champions Trophy. A camp is being organized in Nagpur under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, after which Team India will play a three-match ODI series against England. The Indian team will leave for Dubai on February 15. If India reaches the final, then the semi-final and the title match will also be played in Dubai.
