New Delhi: When Jasprit Bumrah would be fit and be back in the Indian squad remained one of the most asked questions of the Indian cricket fans. But now it seemed that the ace pacer has finally had the answer regarding his fitness. Bumrah posted the emotional video of his training on his Instagram handle, that went viral.
Bumrah practicing at NCA
In the viral video, the 29-year-old bowler was seen practicing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. According to media reports, the Indian cricket team can expect Bumrah for the three-match T20I series in Ireland next month.

Question over domestic return
However, it is still not clear whether Bumrah will play domestic cricket or not before India’s return. The NCA has reportedly made it mandatory for players undergoing long injury layoffs to play domestic cricket first before playing international cricket.
Bumrah, though, could play in the Deodhar Trophy (zonal one-day competition) for West Zone, but there are reports that NCA wants his workload to be limited to four overs for now.

Bumrah’s ODI career
In ODI cricket, Bumrah has picked up 121 wickets in just 72 ODI games at an average of 24.3. The final decision on the squad for Ireland T20Is will be taken after a meeting between newly-appointed chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar and Team India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid.
“Bumrah is expected to be selected for the Ireland series. The India spearhead has shown significant progress in recent times. There is no guarantee if Shreyas Iyer will be available, but KL Rahul has no chance of featuring not only in the Ireland series but also in the Asia Cup 2023. Rahul is currently undergoing rehab at the NCA and, according to the latest information, he is yet to start batting,” the Cricbuzz report read.
