Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah led Team India’s charge singlehandedly during the IND vs AUS 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The latter picked up 32 wickets throughout the series and proved out to be a nightmare for the Australian batters. However, he couldn’t lead the Indian team to win the series and it was won by Australia by 3-1. Despite, the Indian team losing the series, Jasprit Bumrah was named as the Player of the Series due to his exceptional performance and bowling performance.

Jasprit Bumrah Achieves Sachin Tendulkar’s Milestone
Jasprit Bumrah registered the record of picking up most wickets by an Indian bowler in any away series. Bumrah broke the 47-year-old record of former Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi. Apart from this feat as he completed 200 wickets in Test cricket and became the fastest Indian pacer to achieve the milestone. As he was adjudged the Player of the Series in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, he leveled Sachin Tendulkar’s record, when he won the Player of the Series award during the 1999-2000 IND vs AUS Test series, however, the Indian team ended up losing the series by 3-0.
