Jasprit Bumrah Achieves Another Milestone Post Heroic BGT Performance

Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah achieved a new milestone after his heroic performance in the IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah shattered a lot of records with his majestic performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Bumrah ended up with 32 wickets from five games and picked up wickets at an average of 13.82. The right-handed ace Indian pacer totally dismantled the Australian batters throughout the series. Bumrah who is currently ranked as the number bowler in ICC Test rankings, reached another milestone and achieved his career-best rating of 908. Bumrah also became the fastest Indian pacer to pick up 200 wickets in Test cricket.

Jasprit Bumrah Achieves New Milestone

Jasprit Bumrah has displayed a complete different version of himself ever since he has returned from back injury. Bumrah almost missed 1.5 years of international cricket which included key tournaments such as the Indian Premier League 2023 and Asia Cup 2023. The latter ended up picking up 25 wickets in the ODI World Cup 2023 and was the second highest-wicket taker of the tournament. On the other hand, he was the main hero of India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024 and bowled crucial overs throughout the competition.

After picking up 32 wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Jasprit Bumrah ended up sustaining back spasm. Bumrah ended up bowling only 10 overs in the match and went off the field. Later, he went for scans and he may be rested for the white-ball series against England. The step can be taking for preserving the pacer for the Champions Trophy 2025.
