Aaqib Javed To Replace Jason Gillespie As New Pakistan White-Ball Head Coach
Pakistan had a mixed campaign under Jason Gillespie wherein they were able to win the three-match ODI series against Australia whereas the T20I series is already wrapped up with Australia leading by 2-0 with one more match to play. The report further adds that, Aaqib wasn’t the first choice for Pakistan Cricket Board as the white-ball coach, as they wanted Gillespie to take over as the all-format coach without any change in the current contract until the Champions Trophy 2025. However, Gillespie turned down the offer as he was asked to take more responsibilities without any increment in pay.
