New Delhi: ATK Mohun Bagan got their last dance at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa as they defeated Bengaluru FC on penalties (4-3) after ended on 2-2 on Saturday (March 18).
2-2 after extra time
The entered the penalties shoot-out round after Dimitri Petratos scored twice for ATK Mohun Bagan while Sunil Chhetri and Roy Krishna were on target for Bengaluru FC. Both the teams failed to find the net in extra time.

Alan Costa for BFC and Dimitri Petratos for ATKMB both netted the ball from the spot. Roy Krishna took a cool and calm penalty to hand Bengaluru FC the advantage but Liston Colaco converted it for the ATK 2-2.
On the next attempt Bruno Ramires missed the target, Kiyan scored it for ATK Mohun Bagan but Sunil Chhetri made it 3-3 for Bengaluru FC. However, it was ATKMB on top once again as Manvir Singh scored.

With this, ATK Mohun Bagan have defeated Bengaluru FC in the penalty shootout to lift their maiden ISL trophy.

Champions speak
”The title is very very special given the way we started. It was a team effort — 120 minutes and a great job done,” Pritam Kotal, ATKMB skipper said after lifting their maiden ISL trophy.
“I am very happy. It is one family. Now everybody is happy but behind them are (supportive) families that have missed holi and diwali. With injuries, the season was difficult but the players continues to perform throughout the season and it feels fantastic,” coach Juan Ferrando said.
