Captaincy and Head Coach Shifts

As per sources from Cricbuzz, Suryakumar Yadav is poised to lead Team India during the upcoming T20 series, marking his first full-series captaincy. Meanwhile, VVS Laxman, a veteran who has previously handled head coaching responsibilities, is speculated to take over the head coach position. While this information is yet to be officially confirmed by the BCCI, expectations are high for this potential leadership transition.

Player Inclusions and Omissions

Reports suggest that most players who were part of the series against Ireland are likely to retain their spots. Jasprit Bumrah, who captained the team in that tour, is anticipated to take a rest this time around. Meanwhile, emerging talent like Krishna is expected to continue in the lineup. However, due to an injury during the World Cup, Hardik Pandya’s name has not been considered for selection. Shreyas Iyer’s workload might have influenced his absence from consideration as well.

T20 Series Schedule: India vs. Australia

The T20 series is slated to kick off with the 1st T20 match in Visakhapatnam on November 23. Subsequent matches will be held in Thiruvananthapuram (November 26), Guwahati (November 28), and Raipur (December 1), which was initially scheduled for Nagpur. The series will culminate with the fifth T20 in Hyderabad on December 3, originally set to take place in Bengaluru.
