Former India batter Ambati Rayudu took an indirect jab at RCB by sharing a video of CSK’s celebration of their fifth IPL title on Instagram. Rayudu’s post is seen as a response to RCB’s exuberant celebration after defeating CSK to secure a playoff spot in IPL 2024. Indian pacer Deepak Chahar and Sri Lankan talent Matheesha Pathirana, both part of CSK’s previous title-winning team, joined in with humorous comments on Rayudu’s popular video.

Rayudu’s Dig At RCB After IPL Loss

Rayudu also criticized RCB following their loss to RR in the Eliminator on Wednesday, asserting that loud celebrations do not win championships. “Talking about RCB today, it shows that only passion and aggressive celebrations don’t win you trophies. You need to plan. You don’t win the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. You have to play with the same hunger. Beating CSK alone won’t win you the IPL trophy. You’ll have to come back next year and try again,” Rayudu said on Star Sports.

He highlighted RCB’s issues, claiming they lack confidence in their Indian players. Rayudu cited Virat Kohli as an example, pointing out that no one else consistently stepped up for the team.

Since RCB’s narrow victory over CSK in their last league game in Bengaluru, fans of both franchises have engaged in a heated social media war. While RCB had tied up with CSK after the league game, following their loss in the Eliminator, Chennai fans took to social media. Historically, Bangalore and Chennai have faced each other in 33 league matches, with Bangalore winning 11 games and Chennai leading with 21 victories.
