14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi wins IPL 2025 Super Striker award and a car, but he can't drive it yet.

The IPL 2025 season has officially concluded, with the final match played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. RCB finally lifted their first IPL trophy, winning the final by 6 runs, a moment that fans and the team had been waiting 18 long years for.

This season also witnessed the emergence of several young and uncapped players who captured the hearts of cricket fans with their outstanding performances. One standout was 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi from Rajasthan Royals, who impressed everyone in his debut season.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi Rewarded with Tata Curve

Vaibhav made a massive impact in IPL 2025, scoring 252 runs in 7 matches, including a blistering century. He maintained a staggering strike rate of 206.55, faced 122 deliveries, and smashed 24 sixes and 18 fours.

For his explosive performances, Vaibhav was honored with the “Super Striker of the Season” award, along with a Tata Curve car as a special reward. However, being just 14 years old, Vaibhav won’t be able to drive the vehicle himself for now, as the legal driving age in India is 18. He’ll have to wait four more years to get behind the wheel.

RCB’s Historic Title Win

In the high-stakes final, RCB set a target of 190 runs after batting first. Punjab Kings fought hard but fell just short, scoring 184 runs in their 20 overs. RCB clinched victory by 6 runs, sealing their long-awaited first IPL title.

All-rounder Krunal Pandya delivered an exceptional bowling performance for RCB, taking 2 wickets for just 17 runs in 4 overs. On the Punjab Kings side, Shashank Singh gave fans a thrilling finish. Needing 30 runs in the final over, Shashank hammered 24 runs off Josh Hazlewood, finishing with 60 runs off 30 balls. Despite his heroics, Punjab couldn’t cross the line.
