IPL 2025 schedule is out and the opening weekend has been announced with the defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders clashing against the Royal Challengers Bangluru on 22 March, Saturday in Kolkata. The second Match will be played on 23 March between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. On March 23 another match will be played between the ultimate rivals Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

Rishabh Pant who went to the Lucknow Super Giants for 27 cr and was also appointed as the captain for the Super Giants. He is also the most expensive player of the IPL history. The historic bid came after Shreya Pant’s 26.75 cr who ultimately was acquired by the Punjab Kings. He was the Title winning captain for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2024 season.
