Sanju plans to visit the BCCI CoE Centre of Excellence in order to lift the tournament wicketkeeping ban imposed by the board. The reports indicate that Sanju departed from Guwahati toward Bangalore on Monday 31 March to undergo his BCCI Centre of Excellence fitness examination.

Sanju Samson remains a question mark regarding his fitness state because he has a BCCI central contracting status. Sanju Samson underwent a procedure on his right hand thumbs prior to the IPL beginning. The BCCI granted Sanju Samson limited playing clearance to play the first three matches of IPL 2025. During his approval approval Samson received limited wicketkeeping responsibilities but he must refrain from it which led to his role as a batsman for Rajasthan throughout the season. In the inaugural three matches of IPL 2020 Rajasthan team was led by Riyan Parag.
