IPL 2025 Qualifier 2: Yuzvendra Chahal Poised To Trouble THESE Key Batters Of MI Again

As MI prepares to face PBKS in the qualifier 2 for todays IPL clash. Here are the batters for whom Yuzvendra Chahal is a threat.

As MI prepares to face PBKS in the qualifier 2 for todays IPL clash. Some of the stars in MI’s team have to watch out for Yuzvendra Chahal as they have consistently struggled against him. Because of his ability to read the situation and change his strategy, he can be very challenging for players like Surya and Hardik. Even though their skills are recognised, both players have had difficulty dealing with skilled bowlers. Constantly changing his strategy and reading the game well makes it tough for batters to hit, making them lose their balance. His ability to disrupt key partnerships and apply constant pressure in important moments is very intimidating.

Why Yuzvendra Chahal Is A Threat For Suryakumar Yadav

While Suryakumar Yadav has done very well this IPL 2025 season with 673 runs and an average of over 67, he usually struggles to get runs off Yuzvendra Chahal. Sixteen times in his career, an innovative spinner for Punjab Kings, has troubled batsman for 83 runs from 71 balls, dismissing him on three occasions within the IPL. It adds up to 27.66 as the average and a strike rate of just 116.90 — much lower than Suryakumar’s IPL career strike rate figure of 153.25. Thanks to how he changes his variations and controls the ball, Chahal has made it difficult for an aggressive batsman like Suryakumar to dominate, so the spinner is consistently dangerous.

Why Yuzvendra Chahal Is A Threat For Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya, who is famous for hitting boundaries, has still been struggling against Yuzvendra Chahal during the IPL. Against leg-spinners in IPL, Pandya has scored just 71 runs at a low strike rate of 95.94 which is much lower than his regular attacking way of batting. Most notably, when facing Mumbai Indians captain, Chahal has dismissed him four times while having a very impressive bowling average against him of just 17.75. Pandya has repeatedly struggled against Chahal due to the bowler’s diverse shot-control and the unpredictable way Chahal bowls which makes the power-hitter apprehensive every time they meet.
