According to reports, Ahmedabad-based Torrent Group is all set to acquire a majority stake in IPL team Gujarat Titans. The deal has been struck with CVC Capital Partners. The Economic Times report states that Adani Group had also shown interest in a stake in Gujarat Titans but the deal did not move forward. The formal deal can be signed only when the lock-in period ends. In the meantime, CVC is expected to own a stake in the team, which is valued at over $1 billion.
