Ryan Rickelton

The South African wicket batter Ryan Rickelton, one of the better MI overseas recruits this time round, will likely be included in South Africa’s squad for the World Test Championship Final 2022, which will start from June 11. And with the IPL final coming up on June 3, while South Africa start camp preparations ahead of it, Rickelton is not expected to return. South Africa plays Zimbabwe in a four-day warm-up match in Sussex before the WTC final, and it will be played on the third of June, which is the day the IPL 2025 final occurs.

Will Jacks

Will Jacks, an England batter, is likely to be called for the ODI series vs West Indies that begins on May 29, and at the same time, IPL playoffs start. Jacks may then never keep returning to IPL 2025 at all, since England’s white-ball core is expected to be retained for the whole three-match series (May 29, June 1, June 3). If he does return, he will play for just one or two league matches, that is if at all he returns. The absentee status of Roy dents Mumbai’s flexibility in the top order and increases the Mumbai Indians’ overseas player availability issues.

Corbin Bosch

Corbin Bosch, the player who came in to replace the injured Lizaad Williams at the onset of IPL 2025, is said to be under the consideration of being included as reserve seamer in South Africa’s WTC final agglomeration. A not guaranteed pick, should he be picked Mumbai Indians overseas player availability will once again be put under a cloud – particularly when Williams is already ruled out and Bosch is looking like a bowling enforcer and a late-order hitter.
