The most awaited event for the cricket fans in India has arrived as the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction is all set to kickstart from 03:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time) on November 24 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Indian Premier League which is known to be among the biggest T20 leagues in modern day cricketers. Major players from all over the world arrive in India to play the tournament and entertain the Indian fans, to which in return they get the whopping amount of money. A total of 1,577 players signed up for the mega auction, from which the pool was narrowed down to 577. This group comprises 367 Indian players and 110 foreign players. The ten franchises need to fill approximately 204 positions, with 70 of those designated for overseas players.

Major names such as Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jos Buttler and David Miller are set to go under the hammer in the initial stages of the auction. Also, the teams will have the option to use Right to Match Card (RTM) if they wish to have the same player at the designated price he has been sold. James Anderson is the oldest player who will feature in the auction after retiring from international cricket earlier this year.
