Normal service resumed. For the champions KKR as well, and for the format of T20 as well. There still is a place for 150-160 kind of games where the bowlers have a fair say as well. It was a comfortable chase though today for KKR, who started cautiously in the powerplay. de Kock and Moeen Ali played out the pacers and then the South African attacked against Theekshana. Moeen Ali was a bit casual as he ran himself out post the powerplay. Rajasthan slowed things down with their spinners, but overplayed their spin card as they made things too predictable. Hasaranga wasn't very consistent with his lengths either, giving the batters the easy release shot.
IPL 2025 KKR vs RR: After facing defeats from their first match, both Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals look for redemption as they lock horns today at Guwahati. When it comes to attack Spinners Dismantling RR Batters, Nitish Rana Bowled By Moeen Ali back, both sides have a good line-up accordingly but when it comes to experience in captaincy, KKR led-by Ajinkya Rahane has the upper hand compared to Riyan Parag. The match will be more interesting and amazing.

KKR vs RR: Players To Watch Out For
Andre Russell
Recent seasons have seen Andre Russell fail to match the firecracker act he produced during IPL 2019, the best year in his batting statistics. In the year, he made 510 runs at an incredible strike rate of more than 200. Although his display in subsequent seasons has been admirable, none of them has compared to the runaway success he posted in 2019.
Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag was Rajasthan Royals’ top performer in IPL 2024, scoring 573 runs with a superb average of 52.09 and strike rate of 149.22. His unbeaten 84 is his best IPL score to date, a reflection of his increasing maturity and confidence in the middle order.
Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane silenced critics with an exemplary performance in KKR’s IPL 2025 season opener, scoring a classy 56 from 31 balls at a strike rate of 180.65. His innings brought everybody back to his class and experience, particularly after a subdued IPL 2024.

Hasaranga to de Kock, SIX, take that!! Too full and onto leg stump, asking for trouble against Qdk. The batter gets under it and slams it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. 50 up for the KKR wicket-keeper, nice start to life with a new franchise...
Hasaranga to Rahane, out Caught by Tushar Deshpande!! Crucial breakthrough for RR. Something about Wanindu Hasaranga and wickets have always been synonymous. A loopy delivery that slides onto middle and leg, Rahane sits down for a big slog sweep but top edges this one.
Theekshana to Rahane, no run
Hasaranga to Rahane, FOUR, so, so neat from Jinx! No need to bludgeon when you got timing like that. A slightly short of length delivery onto off, Rahane stays deep and punches it over extra cover.
Riyan Parag to Moeen Ali, out Moeen Ali Run Out!! 1 run completed Oh dear! A wicket out of nowhere and that's got to go down as a bit of carelessness from the KKR batters. The ball was slow, on a length and spinning away - classic Test match length. Moeen Ali waits and then punches it to the left of sweeper cover
Riyan Parag to de Kock, FOUR, good blow, de Kock comes down the track and it's angling into him outside the leg-stump, he lofts over mid-on and comfortably clears the fielder
Jofra Archer to de Kock, SIX, wow! That is the shot of the match so far and by a distance. Pacy back of a length delivery outside off, de Kock picks the length so quickly, rocks back and smashes the pull high and into the deep mid-wicket stands
Jofra Archer to de Kock, FOUR, to deep backward point
Theekshana to de Kock, FOUR, poor ball, with no deep backward square-leg. Short on middle and leg, de Kock pulls it between backward square-leg and short fine-leg

Harshit Rana to Dhruv Jurel, FOUR, nice manipulation of the field by Dhruv Jurel. He shuffles across outside off and uses the slower-ball off-cutter outside off to scoop wide and over short fine-leg
Vaibhav Arora to Shubham Dubey, out Caught by Russell!! Straight to deep backward point. Dug in short outside off, was there for the slash and also to be put away for six. Shubham Dubey slashes but does not have the elevation, after the last boundary, deep point was sent back and Dubey picks him out expertly.
Vaibhav Arora to Dhruv Jurel, 1 run, dug in short outside off, Dhruv Jurel pulls hard and straight to deep mid-wicket
Harshit Rana to Dhruv Jurel, FOUR, now a thick under-edge beats de Kock to his left. Harshit Rana with a wry smile at Dhruv Jurel, back of a length outside off, he pulls and the edge flies wide of both off-stump and de Kock
Varun Chakaravarthy to Dhruv Jurel, no run, slower and on a length outside off, Dhruv Jurel goes on the back foot and opens the face of the bat to guide it down to short third man
Moeen Ali to Nitish Rana, out Bowled!! Superb delivery and Moeen Ali hits the top of middle-stump.
Varun Chakaravarthy to Hasaranga, out Caught by Rahane!! The skid off the pitch has defeated Hasaranga there, it rushed him on the pull as he went on the back foot, off the outside half of the bat and a dolly to extra-cover.
Varun Chakaravarthy to Hasaranga, 2 runs, to long-on
Moeen Ali to Jaiswal, out Caught by Harshit Rana!! Straight to long-on. RR losing their way. Jaiswal comes down the track and looks for a big loft, he is not to the pitch of the ball and he drags it sort of, off the thick inside half and it's straight to the fielder at long-on and Harshit makes no mistake. Jaiswal walks off shaking his head. It's the timeout as well.
Varun Chakaravarthy to Riyan Parag, out Caught by de Kock!! Riyan Parag throws it away. He wanted to attack at every opportunity, this is a length delivery outside off, Parag gets forward to loft and it's right off the toe-end of the bat, goes straight up and de Kock calls for it early, it's a skier and he takes it around the pitch area. Vaibhav Arora to Samson, 2 runs, 132.6kph, mishit and safe! Inswinger, fullish delivery, Samson takes the aerial route but gets it off the bottom part of the bat. Gets enough wood to clear mid-on and Rahane runs back to hunt it down
Spencer Johnson to Samson, FOUR, to deep backward point
Spencer Johnson to Jaiswal, FOUR, top-edge and four! RR and Jaiswal get off the mark

All the ten teams have now played one match each. Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the sixth game of IPL 2025. It's defending champions - Kolkata Knight Riders - who were humbled by RCB - up against Rajasthan Royals who were sent on a leather hunt by SRH. Today's match will be played in Guwahati, a city that's closer to Kolkata, but it's a home game for the 2008 champions. Also, it's Riyan Parag's home ground and he'll be leading RR once again with Sanju Samson still recovering from finger surgery.
