The Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction has concluded in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. All the ten teams including Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders have built a strong squad. Many records were created throughout the auction wherein Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player and received a price of INR 27 crores whereas Shreyas Iyer was sold for a price of INR 26.75 crores.

Punjab Kings have roped in many quality players in the form of Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, Glenn Maxwell, Yuzvendra Chahal and others. Iyer was their most expensive and was picked up at a price of INR 26.75 crores. PBKS have been among the most underperforming teams in the history of the Indian Premier League and walked into the mega auction with the maximum purse under their bank. As Shreyas Iyer has entered their squad they will surely have a strong captain who has previously won the Indian Premier League with the Kolkata Knight Riders.
