The tenth match of IPL 2025 between Gujarat Titans (GT) playing against Mumbai Indians (MI) will be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday March 29. The start of both teams in IPL 2025 proved unpleasant when GT lost to Punjab Kings in their first game and MI received defeat from Chennai Super Kings in their inaugural encounter.

Gujarat Titans played at home against Punjab but failed to achieve victory as they fell short in chasing down their opponents’ 244-run total. Sai Sudharsan scored 74 runs from 41 deliveries and Jos Buttler made 54 runs from 33 balls yet Gujarat Titans ended 11 runs short of the target. The PBKS batting order produced an outstanding total due to important contributions from Shreyas Iyer who scored 97 off 42 deliveries and Priyansh Arya who hit 47 runs from 23 balls and Shashank Singh with his 44 runs from 16 balls. Rashid Khan together with Kagiso Rabada and Sai Kishore took wickets but were unable to control the high scoring during the match. The current champions will use their 2022 championship status to motivate a more resilient performance when they face MI in this match.
Mumbai Indians faced difficulties during their match against Chennai Super Kings in the beginning. MI came out to bat first at Chepauk but their hitters only scored 155 runs before being dismissed nine times as Khaleel Ahmed and Noor Ahmad maintained discipline from the bowling side. Chennai Super Kings defeated their opponents by achieving the target with five balls remaining as Rachin Ravindra scored 65 runs from 45 balls and Ruturaj Gaikwad accumulated 53 runs from 26 balls. Starting from the next game MI will gain critical support from their captain Hardik Pandya who sat out the first match because of suspension. Pandya will return to face his previous team at the IPL who granted him victory in the title match of 2022. The Gujarat Titans faced the Mumbai Indians once in the 2024 season and won by a slim margin of six runs.
