Axar Patel
Axar Patel will lead the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. His very first match would be against his former captain and current Lucknow Super Giants signee Rishabh Pant in 2024. Axar is a surefire all-rounder and has made 1,653 IPL runs off a strike rate of 130.88 along with 123 wickets for an economy of 7.28. During IPL 2024, Axar made 235 runs as well as claimed 11 wickets, registering a well-rounded performance with the bat and bowl.

Rishabh Pant returned to the IPL 2024 in sensational style after being involved in a near-fatal car accident. Showing grit and determination, Pant accumulated 446 runs in 13 games at an average of 40.55 with a strike rate of 155.40. His explosive hitting and sharp wicket-keeping took fans back to his best days. With 3 half-centuries and 25 sixes, he proved his critics wrong. In IPL 2025, Pant takes up a new challenge as the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants.
Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc returned to IPL in 2024 with a bang, signing with KKR for a record ₹24.75 crore. He justified the hype, taking Player of the Match in the final against SRH with a match-winning spell. With 17 wickets from 14 matches, Starc proved his big-match temperament. Delhi Capitals signed him for ₹11.75 crore ahead of IPL 2025, relying on his aggressive pace and crucial performances to bolster their campaign.
