With Rahul out of the picture, LSG is looking to poach a young wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan who was recently released by Mumbai Indians. Kishan may have failed to get a place in a side studded with stars like Rohit Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah but he’s definitely one to target with the potential that he holds.

Retained Players And Team Dynamics
Lucknow Super Giants have retained Nicholas Pooran for Rs 21 crores, Ravi Bishnoi and Mayank Yadav for Rs 11 crores each, and Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan for Rs 4 crores each. Although Pooran is a wicketkeeper, there is talk of making him the captain of Lucknow in IPL 2025. Therefore, Lucknow would need another wicketkeeper-batter.
Ishan Kishan’s IPL Career
Ishan Kishan has a good IPL career with 105 matches played and 2,644 runs in 99 innings. He has a strike rate of 135.87 and has scored 16 half-centuries, 255 fours, and 119 sixes. He is an explosive batter and a good wicket-keeper and is a great prospect for LSG as they seek to strengthen their squad for the next season.
