Player auction for the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2025 is set to be held in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah on Sunday and Monday.The fate of 577 players from across the world will be decided in the auction. 367 are Indian cricketers while the rest are foreign players. The highest base price for the players is Rs 2 crore.

A maximum of 204 slots are up for grabs for the ten IPL franchises namely Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Rishabh Pant
The 27-year-old India star is a great wicket-keeper batter. He is known for big hits and has captaincy experience having helmed the responsibility for Delhi Capitals.
In 111 IPL matches, the left-handed batter has scored 3284 runs at good average of 35.31. He has slammed one century and 18 half-centuries in the marquee tournament.
With a base price of 2 crore, Pant is expected to fetch huge sum in the mega auction. Speculations are high that Chennai and Bangalore will break the bank to get the swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter.

Jos Buttler
England captain Jos Buttler is a fantastic opener and wicket-keeper batter. In 107 IPL matches, he has scored 3582 runs at a great average of 38.11. A devastating power-hitter, he has notched seven centuries and 19 half-centuries. His IPL runs have come at an explosive strike rate of 147.53.
All IPL franchises will be eyeing to get him into their squad. A bidding war among the franchises will exponentially raise his worth from the base price of Rs 2 crore.

Mitchell Starc
The Australian left-arm fast bowler can be a huge match-winner anyday. He played a crucial role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ title triumph in IPL 2024. In the final, he gave away just 14 runs in three overs and picked two wickets.
In 40 IPL matches, he has claimed 51 wickets at an economy of 8.21 with 4/15 being his best bowling figure.

Shreyas Iyer
He was the captain of the IPL 2024 title winner- Kolkata Knight Riders. The right-handed batter has played 115 matches and scored 3127 runs at an average of 32.24, including, 21 half-centuries.
Iyer has a base price of 2 crore. Given his batting prowess and leadership qualities, he will certainly get a hefty price.

Liam Livingstone
The English all-rounder is an explosive T20 batter and has the potential to break partnerships with his bowling. In 39 IPL matches, he has scored 939 runs, averaging 28.45. He has also taken 11 wickets with 3/27 being his best bowling figure.
Livingstone has a base price of 2 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. He has previously played for Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings.
