Because of Rajat Patidar’s leadership, the team with Virat Kohli finally won the IPL trophy in 18 years. The move to start with bowling resulted in Punjab deterring Royal Challengers Bangalore to 190/9, largely thanks to the performances of Arshdeep (3 wickets) and Kyle (3 wickets). Virat Kohli made the team’s biggest score, with 43 runs coming from just 35 balls. RCB had a difficult start as they kept losing players. Obstructing the PBKS batsmen were Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 for 38) and Krunal Pandya (2 for 17) who allowed them to put up 184 for 7 by the end of the innings.
