The swashbuckling batter from Madhya Pradesh was one of the superstars in the SMAT 2024. He amazed 428 runs in 9 matches and concluded as the second-highest run scorer in the tournament. He had notable performances – unbeaten 81 against Mumbai in the final game and crucial knocks of 68 against Bengal and also 62 against Punjab.
A retained RCB player at ₹11 crore, Patidar’s red-hot form speaks to his importance as a cornerstone of RCB’s batting unit in the 2025 season.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was brilliant with his skill and experience. His most memorable moment came against Jharkhand, where he achieved a sensational hat-trick, finishing with impressive figures of 3/6. In nine matches, Kumar scalped 11 wickets at a remarkable economy rate of 6.03.
That was testament to how he dominated the game in crucial situations, more so during the powerplay. The ₹10.75 crore paid for Kumar will prove to be a treasure for RCB in the bowling category of IPL 2025.
Krunal Pandya
Krunal Pandya was good with the ball for Baroda, picking 8 wickets in 9 matches at an economy rate of 6.77 in SMAT 2024. His batting wasn’t dominant, but his role as a disciplined middle-overs bowler makes him a valuable addition to the RCB squad at ₹5.75 crore.
Containing runs and taking those key middle-overs wickets may hold the key for a more balanced strategy for RCB.
