The cricketing world took a deep breath as one of the veterans of the sport, MS Dhoni handed his CSK captaincy away to the most deserving youngster in his IPL side. With MS and Rohit going away from captaincy before the start of the season, the new captain lineup for the tournament doesn’t have much experience compared to the above-mentioned maestros.

Who’s The Most Experienced IPL Skipper This Year?
Now, who is the most experienced captain among the lot this year?
It’s none other than Indian star batter and KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer, who has a total experience of 55 matches as captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Many fans were shocked by the decisions made ahead of the 17th edition of IPL, with Hardik replacing Indian captain Rohit Sharma in Mumbai and MS Dhoni stepping down from the leadership role just one day before the start of the tournament.
Who’s The Most Successful Of The Lot?
With Shreyas leading the race in terms of experience in the cash-rich league, he is yet to get his hands on an IPL trophy as captain. However, there is one skipper this year who has had the privilege to guide his side to victory. Former Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya took his former side Gujarat Titans to victory and that too in the franchise’s inaugural season in the league.
Hardik holds the tag for the most successful captain in the IPL this year and will hope to get another one this year with the side that saw his rise to the top, Mumbai Indians.
