In reply, it was India’s talisman Virat Kohli who took the initiative right from the start, scoring 19 runs in the very first over against a talented Sam Curran.
Despite losing two wickets quite cheaply, Virat Kohli never let the intent go away from his side’s chase. Virat Kohli’s classy 77 showed once again why he is still one of the best hitters in white ball cricket.
However, the in-form Harpreet Brar sent the former RCB skipper back to the pavilion at 77 runs, which left RCB at 130/5 (16 overs)
It was the veteran Dinesh Karthik’s 28-run cameo that came to the rescue for his side, showing some mindful shot selection which saw RCB get their first win of the campaign.
