Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli was left furious after he was given out on a controversial delivery by Kolkata Knight Riders bowler Harshit Rana. The first ball of the 3rd over saw Harshit Rana bowl what appeared to be an above-the-waist delivery to Kohli.

Kohli Left Furious By 3rd Umpire’s Decision
Directed towards him, Kohli had to defend the delivery which eventually went straight into the hands of Harshit Rana. While KKR started celebrating the dismissal, Kohli was left shocked as to why the umpire didn’t give a no-ball instantly. Kohli had to take a review which left him even more surprised.
The 3rd umpire saw the delivery as a fair one as the ball’s trajectory was going below Virat’s waist. Both RCB openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli were seen contesting the call with the on-field umpires after watching the decision on the big screen as well.
KKR Gets Crucial Breakthrough
Chasing a mammoth 223, Virat Kohli’s wicket was very crucial for the visitors who are in dire need of a win in the tournament in order to keep their playoff hopes alive.
However, it wasn’t to be for Virat as no matter how furious the Indian star batter was after the decision, the rules had to be followed by the umpires which eventually was the right one in the end.
