Choosing to bat first after winning the toss at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, Pat Cummins’ Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced an early setback when Mayank Agarwal got out for 17 off 10 balls in the fourth over. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma aggressively attacked the Gujarat Titans (GT) bowlers after Agarwal’s dismissal, but Head was dismissed by GT spinner Noor Ahmad after the powerplay.
Abhishek Sharma played a crucial knock, accumulating 29 runs off 20 balls, but was eventually caught by Shubman Gill off Mohit Sharma’s bowling. A solid partnership between Markram (17 runs) and Klaasen (24 runs) added stability to the innings, but both fell victim to Rashid Khan and Umesh Yadav respectively.
