RCB vs GT: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are preparing for their second encounter in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). Less than a week has passed since the teams faced off in Ahmedabad, where RCB convincingly defeated the hosts by nine wickets. This time, GT is visiting Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium, aiming for redemption.

In their previous clash, GT posted a competitive total of 200, fueled by Sai Sudharsan’s unbeaten 84 off 49 and Shahrukh Khan’s 30-ball 58. However, despite Will Jacks’ remarkable hundred off just 41 balls and Virat Kohli’s 44-ball 70, RCB emerged victorious in just 16 overs. Despite the win, RCB remains at the bottom of the points table, while GT sits two places ahead in eighth position.

Another loss would effectively end RCB’s chances of making it to the playoffs, having won only three out of their 10 matches in the tournament so far. Conversely, GT has won four out of their 10 matches and will be in a precarious position if they lose the upcoming match.

RCB vs GT Pitch Report

Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium is known for favoring batters, suggesting a high-scoring affair when RCB faces GT. In the venue’s previous match, RCB and SRH collectively scored 549 runs – the highest-ever total in a T20 game. Fast bowlers are expected to find more assistance from the pitch compared to spinners.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
