In Sunday’s match in Visakhapatnam against the Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to bat first.
Delhi Capitals made a strategic change by replacing Mitchell Marsh with Prithvi Shaw in the opening partnership alongside David Warner. Although the start was slow, Shaw and Warner accelerated dramatically towards the end of the powerplay, scoring 62 runs without losing any wickets.
Delhi Capitals are hoping for a turnaround in their fortunes, especially considering their batting order has struggled in previous matches against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
