RCB Score Big vs SRH
The toss was a big talking point before the match and it luckily went in RCB’s favour which saw them batting first against an SRH side which is lethal when batting first in the match.
RCB openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave the visitors a good start as RCB raced to 61/1 in the powerplay. Starting strongly was very important to keep the pressure of the scoreboard onto the SRH batters when they batted in the second innings.
Faf du Plessis had to depart for a 12-ball 25 but it was Rajat Patidar who came in and went beast mode on the night. Rajat Patidar’s 20-ball half-century accelerated the tempo for RCB and gave Virat Kohli a sort of rest in the middle of the innings.
However, Kohli (51) failed to change gears afterward as he too was sent back to the pavilion courtesy of a Jaydev Unadkat delivery.
It was Cameron Green and impact substitute Swapnil Singh who carried forward the innings and took the visitors to a competitive 206/7 in their 20 overs in the end.
